Book Drunkard Festival features Barris interviewing Fallis
November 16, 2021 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
As they have on numerous occasions over the past 10 years, Ted Barris and Terry Fallis appear tonight – at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2021 – as part of Blue Heron Books annual Book Drunkard Festival.
On this occasion, Barris interviews Fallis on the launch of his new book Operation Angus. In this first time return to his fictional politician, Fallis catches up with MP Angus McLintock, as Minister of State for International Relations. In Europe doing advance work for an upcoming G8 Summit, McLintock and his chief of staff Daniel Addison meet an MI6 operative who sheds light on a plot to kill the Russian president during an upcoming visit to Canada. In this madcap cloak-and-dagger adventure, the pair attempt to prevent an international incident and save their own skins in the process.
Barris will also interview actor Kenneth Welsh, who starred as McLintock in The Best Laid Plans, CBC TV’s six-part mini-series broadcast in 2014.
